Complete mandatory COVID-19 testing upon arrival into the UK with government approved, at-home RT-PCR tests.

Unless special delivery is selected, we dispatch these to you using the Royal Mail First Class Signed For service. Your kits are typically dispatched the day before your UK arrival.

You have the option at checkout to upgrade to Royal Mail’s premium Special Delivery service, enabling you to safely track and receive your kits on a guaranteed date. If you are purchasing your package on your arrival date, we strongly advise you select this service to ensure safe receipt of your kit in time for your Day 2 test.

Please be aware that there may occasionally be postal delays with Royal Mail delivery that are beyond our control.

As we often send out multiple kits to one address, or kits are purchased on behalf of another person, every kit we sent out needs to be registered to a specific individual – and contact details provided for receipt of the result - before a result can be sent.

You will need your passenger locator reference booking number, which will be in the following format: FITNE-1234567 and the specific barcode on your sample tube.

Multiple clinical validation studies have been conducted on the assay used by FitnessGenes, using the current standard of care assays in clinical ISO15189/UKAS accredited laboratories.

Diagnostic sensitivity has been established at 98.40%. This means there is a very low likelihood of actually carrying the COVID-19 coronavirus but falsely receiving a negative test result.

Diagnostic specificity has been established at 99.34%. This means there is an extremely low likelihood of receiving a positive test result despite not carrying the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Your result will be sent to you via email usually within 36 hours from receipt at our laboratory.

Whilst the vast majority of our samples are processed within this timeframe (> 98%), we unfortunately cannot offer a guarantee on this as turnaround times are dependent on laboratory capacity and we may experience delays during periods of high demand.

If you have purchased a Day 2&8 bundle, and you test positive on Day 2, you will not receive a test kit for Day 8.

You will not be eligible for a refund for your Day 8 test kit, as the cost of the second kit goes towards the cost of sequencing your sample, as required by the UK authorities.

Lateral flow tests (LFTs) are a rapid way of testing for Covid-19, but are not as accurate as a PCR test and have lower sensitivity and specificity rates, meaning a PCR test is usually required to verify the result of a LFT.

The FitnessGenes test is a PCR test and not a LFT. A negative LFT result is not as accurate as a PCR test result. If you have a negative LFT result but a positive PCR test result, you most likely had Covid-19 when the test was done and must follow the relevant government guidelines in relation to this: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/test-results/positive-test-result/
